It was 1982 when Sweet Sue’s opened on the Southwest Loop with 17 seats.  Sandwiches were the heart of the menu.  It wasn’t long before the buffet was started.  Soon walls were being knocked down and the buffet really started to grow.  Today, Sweet Sue’s seats more than 350 people.  The restaurant has two banquet rooms and a full catering service.  We are known as the place to get a quality home-style meal at a very reasonable price.  Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served daily except Sunday night.  The friendly wait staff make you feel like you were at Grandma’s house!  There are big discounts for senior citizens all day long.  The breakfast buffet features all your favorites including eggs made to order.  The lunch & dinner buffets are loaded with many meat items like catfish, country fried steak, chicken, meatloaf, and much more.   We also feature a large variety of fresh vegetables, a big salad bar and many home-style desserts like cobblers, home made pies, and our great banana pudding.    For 2006 we added new tile floors, new seating, and a new front awning.  Sweet Sue's is all non smoking and great for families.  We have large tables always available for bigger groups.  So when your ready for a made from scratch home cooked meal and the best service in town, come to Sweet Sue's.
